The Dartmouth Veterans of Foreign Wars are hosting their annual chicken dinner on Sunday, August 13.

Tickets are $20 per person and can be purchased and can be purchased at the VFW bar on 144 Cross Road. Tickets must be purchased by August 6. The ticket includes half of a chicken, a side of garden salad, potato salad, corn on the cob, rolls and watermelon.

There is also a raffle for a cooler filled with alcoholic drinks. Tickets for the raffle cost $5 for one or $10 for three.

The money raised from the cookout goes back to the VFW’s efforts to support veterans in the community. They work with other organizations and government bodies like the Council on Aging, the Veterans Service Office, and the Veterans Advisory Board, and take part in various ceremonies.
