Woman arrested for hit-and-run at Dartmouth Mall
A Dartmouth woman is under arrest for an alleged hit-and-run that sent a 19-year-old woman to the hospital Saturday night.
At around 9 p.m., Dartmouth Police and other emergency responders were dispatched to the parking lot of the Dartmouth Mall regarding a hit and run crash resulting in the injury of a pedestrian.
Officers investigating the crash located a 2014 Hyundai Sonata that matched the description of vehicle involved in the hit-and-run at the UMass Dartmouth entrance, police said.
The driver of the Hyundai, Kylie Maynard, 20, of Dartmouth was placed under arrest for leaving the scene of a crash resulting in personal injury, assault and battery with a vehicle and reckless operation of a motor vehicle.
The crash is currently under investigation by members of the Dartmouth Police Department Crash Reconstruction Unit. The victim was rushed to the hospital and is expected to survive.
