An East Freetown woman was arrested Saturday night after her vehicle crashed into a utility pole Saturday near 410 Old Westport Road, Dartmouth police said.

Mari McGinn, 21, of East Freetown, was placed under arrest and charged with operating under the influence, negligent operation of a motor vehicle and failure to stay within marked lanes, police said.

Both the pole and her vehicle, a 2017 Volkswagen, received extensive damage, police said. 

The crash occurred at about 9:27 p.m., police said.
