The Lloyd Center will host a birding trip to Cape Cod on Aug. 15.

Participants will gather at the Lloyd Center at 7 a.m. and be transported in the Lloyd Center van to Outer Cape birding locations. The focus area will be Chatham in vicinity of Monomoy National Wildlife Refuge and South Beach.

Birding locations will depend on boat access and recent sightings. Participants should be capable of a full day of walking over even terrain but in potentially hot conditions. The van will return to the Lloyd Center at approximately 5 p.m.

Participants should bring a lunch, footwear for walking in wet areas and on sand, a windbreaker, rain gear, sunscreen, bug spray and bird optics.

Pre-registration is required by noon on Aug. 14. The trip costs $30 for members and $35 for non-members. The rain date is Aug. 16.
