Llloyd Center seal-sighting cruises

Feb 23, 2016

The Lloyd Center will be holding two Cuttyhunk seal cruises in March. They will be held on Saturday, March 5 from 10 a.m. - 2:30 p.m. and Saturday, March 19 from 10 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.

The cruise will pass through Gull Island in Buzzards Bay, an important stopover location for wintering marine life. Harbor, Grey, and Harp seals may be present, as well as winter waterbirds. The Lloyd Center's Education Specialist Jasmine Smith-Gillen will provide commentary about them.

After seal-watching, attendees can enjoy lunch at the boat docks at Cuttyhunk and explore the island. Participants are free to venture through town to the lookout and to join Smith-Gillen on a nature walk along the shore.

Pre-registration is required. The deadlines to pre-register are on March 3 and March 17 for each respective event. Tickets for members are $43, $45 for non-members and $20 for children.

Pre-register here, or call the Center’s Event line at 508-558-2918. If you have specific questions regarding the program, please call Jasmine at 508-990-0505 x13 or email jasmine@lloydcenter.org.
