Oct 13, 2016

There's a lot happening in Dartmouth on any given weekend. Check DartmouthVillageSoup.com for your Saturday and Sunday itinerary.

Saturday, October 15

Run for a cause.

Now in its sixth year, the Padanaram Village 5K Road Race will begin at Apponagansett Park at 10 a.m. The first 150 people to register will receive a free t-shirt. The entry fee is $30 on race day. The event will also feature facepainting, pizza, music, and more.

Proceeds from the 5K will benefit Mission to Liberia, a Rochester-based nonprofit that helps build schools and medical clinics in the country. The program also provides children's books, textbooks, and encyclopedias to school children. For more information, visit 3craceproductions.com.

Sunday, October 16

Fall into autumn.

DeMello Elementary will host its Fall Festival from 2 to 4 p.m. Head to the school at 654 Dartmouth Street for pumpkin decorating and scarecrow building. Scarecrow frames, pumpkins, paint, apple cider, and treats will be provided. Bring an old pillowcase and clothes for your scarecrow. A $5 donation is suggested.
