Two people were transported to the hospital after a crash on State Road on December 29.

Joel Perez, 30, and Nicole Gallo, 28, both sustained injuries after their vehicles — a 1999 Toyota 4Runner and 1993 Isuzu Trooper, respectively — collided, said Dartmouth Police.

One driver was transported to Saint Luke's Hospital in New Bedford, and the other was transported to Rhode Island Hospital, said Det. Kyle Costa.

The 4Runner sustained damage to the driver's side, while the Isuzu Trooper sustained front-end damage.

Police cited Perez for failure to yield and unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle as a result of the accident.

Police responded to the accident — in the area of 654 State Road — around 12:02 p.m.
