Dartmouth police found a suspect in an alleged break-in hidden in an apartment closet on April 16.

According to police, officers responded to a report of a break in progress at 121 Rogers Street at 10:30 p.m. Finding an open window on the first floor of the multi-family residence, officers searched a bedroom where they found Cristhian Xaiver Escobar, 32, of New Bedford hiding in a closet.

Escobar was charged with breaking and entering and trespassing. He also had five outstanding warrants, according to police.
