There's a lot happening in Dartmouth on any given weekend. Visit DartmouthVillageSoup.com for your itinerary.

Thursday, June 15

Go birding.

The experts at Allens Pond Wildlife Sanctuary will lead educational walks every Thursday this month at 8 a.m. in search of the bobolinks. The blackbird relative is not only breeding this time of year, but thrives in the sanctuary's fields. The cost is $10 for Mass Audubon members; $12 for non-members. Register online at massaudobon.org/allenspond, or call the sanctuary at (508) 636-2437.

Friday, June 16

Support local businesses.

Shop local produce and goods at the Dartmouth Farmers Market, now located at the St. Mary's Parish Center (789 Dartmouth Street). It will be held every Friday through September 29, 1-6 p.m. Visit market's Facebook page for more information.

Walk the night away.

The Greater New Bedford Relay for Life will be held from 3 p.m. to 7 a.m. on Saturday at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. Visit relay.acsevents.org for more information.

Rise with the summer sun.

The Lloyd Center for the Environment will host a Summer Solstice Plover Stroll at Demarest Lloyd State Park at 8 a.m. Participants will learn about the nesting shorebirds during the two-hour educational walk. Bring binoculars and bugspray, and wear appropriate footwear. The cost is $8 for members; $10 for nonmembers; half-price for children under 12. Preregistration required; visit lloydcenter.org.

Downward cat?

The Humane Society & Shelter will host yoga with kittens at 8:30 a.m. at its 31 Ventura Drive location. Instructor Donna Bosworth will lead the one-hour class. Bring a yoga mat and water. Proceeds benefit the shelter; the cost is $15. Call (508) 995-6661 to reserve a spot.

Keep your balance.

Learn the paddle boarding basics — including equipment, water entry, balance and stance — in a two hour class at Apponagansett Park. The Osprey Sea & Surf team will start the class at 9:30 a.m. Ages 16 and up; $53 each. Classes will also be held on July 15 and August 19.

Gong along.
