Dartmouth Fire District No. 3's open house turned up the heat with firefighting demonstrations, touch-a-trucks, and other activities on October 7.
Firefighters used a special stove to demonstrate how cooking fires spread and how to put them out. Kids also got a chance to climb aboard a fire truck, try on uniforms, and tested out their firefighting skills by spraying with a fire hose.
