The Lloyd Center for the Environment will begin its beach walk series at Gooseberry Island in Westport on November 19.

During the walk, staff from the Lloyd Center will be on hand to provide education on the importance of the South Coast's relationship with the sea in terms of geography, history, and biology.

Those attending the beach walk are asked to meet at Gooseberry Island's parking lot in Westport. The walk will take place from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., weather permitting.

The cost to attend is $7 for Lloyd Center members and $9 for non-members. The event is appropriate for those age 14 and over. The pre-registration deadline is 12 p.m. on November 16. The trip is popular, so those wishing to attend are asked to register early.
