Bishop Stang High School’s new biology and chemistry labs are officially open for students after extensive renovations over the summer.

Funded with support from the Lafrance family, the biology lab has been named in memory of Rita P. Lafrance.

“Our family is proud to sponsor the Bishop Stang High School science lab initiative and honored that the biology lab will be named ‘In Memory of Rita P. Lafrance,” Richard Lafrance said in a press release. “My mom was always focused on helping others and seeking best solutions for the future. She would be very pleased with this recognition.”

The project was also funded by donations from alumni, parents of alumni, current parents, and community partners.
