Brian Amos Mello, 55, of Dartmouth, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, November 30, 2017.

Born in New Bedford, the son of Amos and Dorothy (Aguiar) Mello Jr. of Dartmouth, he was a lifelong resident of Dartmouth.

Brian was a graduate of Dartmouth High School, class of 1980 and attended Bristol Community College, where he studied Engineering. He was employed as a truck driver for United Liquors in Taunton for 35 years, and a member of Teamsters Local 653. Brian was an avid Bruins, NASCAR, Patriots and Frank Sinatra fan.

In addition to his parents, Brian is survived by his beautiful twin daughters Jenna and Erin Mello and their mother Tammie Doyle of Dartmouth; a sister Karen Dionne and her husband Bruce of Fairhaven; a brother Gary Mello and Tammy Poirier of Dartmouth; God Children Joshua Gemme and Riley Bowen and aunts, uncles and many cousins.

His Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2017 at 9 a.m. in St. Mary's Church, 783 Dartmouth St.

Burial will be in South Dartmouth Cemetery.

Visiting hours have been omitted. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in his honor may be made to , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
