Kids, check out holiday movie night.

The Dartmouth YMCA is hosting "Kids Night Out: Pajamas and Movie Night" from 6:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. The event will feature screenings of the holiday classics "Frosty The Snowman" and "The Nightmare Before Christmas," and pizza, popcorn, and hot chocolate will be served. Show off your culinary skills at a holiday baking competition.

The Southworth Library is hosting a Winter Holiday Baking Competition for kids and teens age 10-16. Kids can let their baker's imagination run wild and whip up any holiday or winter-themed dessert. The top two bakers in each age group (10-12 and 13-16) will win a prize. Desserts will be judged on three factors: taste, presentation, and overall theme and festiveness. Non-bakers are welcome to check out the competition and enjoy a cup of hot chocolate. Get up close with nature.

Want to see live animal demonstrations, go on a hike, and partake in nature activities and crafts? Make your way over to the Lloyd Center for the Environment’s Nature Discoveries program, which will meet from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m. While the family-friendly event is geared towards children ages 2-6, younger and older siblings are welcome. It costs $5 for members and $6 for nonmembers. Advance registration is not required. Round The Bend Farm is hosting Open Farm Day from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., where you can visit with the barnyard animals, head out on a family-friendly farm tour (start time: 11:00 a.m.) and even take part of the farm home with you by purchasing non-GMO and grass-fed meat, seasonal veggies, honey, maple syrup, and herbal teas.
