Donald P. Lafleur, 82

Donald P. Lafleur, 82, of Dartmouth, died on December 23, 2017 after a long illness.

Born in New Bedford, he was the son of the late Gaspard H. Lafleur, Doris Eva (Tichon) Lafleur, and stepson of the late Rose (Berthiaume) Lafleur.

He was a graduate of LaSalette High School in Enfield, NH and attended LaSalette College in Brewster, MA.

He was also a graduate of Plus Kinyon School of Business in New Bedford and attended Bryant Stratton College in Boston, where he majored in computer science.

Donald was employed by Berkshire Hathaway, where he became a computer operator and programmer. He also worked as a data processing manager at Continental Screw in New Bedford, and then he was employed as the Management Information Systems Director at Infusaid in Norwood until his retirement.

He was the past Chief of Records for the New Bedford I.O.R.M.

Donald loved playing golf, riding in his car, bicycling and walking, prior to becoming disabled.

He is survived by two daughters, Marcelle DeCosta and her husband Thomas of Acushnet and Theresa Gaudreau of Acushnet; a grandson, Kevin Costa and his wife Stephanie of Assonet; three granddaughters, Nicole Contois of Acushnet, Sheena Goundie of North Carolina, and Kelsey Pacheco of California; six great-grandchildren; two very dear friends, Jim Pedro and John Mercurio; a nephew, Roger; several favorite nieces, Jeanne, Lucille, Diane, Doris, and Suzanne; and several grand-nephews, grand-nieces and cousins.

He was the brother of the late Madeleine (Lafleur) Guerette and Paul L. Lafleur.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
