Odelia (Avila) Bolger, 94, of New Bedford died on December 24, 2017 at Brandon Woods of Dartmouth.

Born in New Bedford, the daughter of the late Jules and Laura P. (Mello) Avila, she lived in New Bedford all her life.

She was formerly employed as Clerk of Courts at Third District Court in New Bedford for 26 years.

She enjoyed dancing with her companion of 40 years, the late John Ciacci of Rhode Island. She also enjoyed going to casinos, swimming, bowling, ice skating, sewing and knitting.

Survivors include three children, Raymond E. Bolger, Jr. and his wife Debbie of New Bedford, Carol A. Coulson and her husband Fred of Wareham, and Joyce Taber and her husband Richard of Mashpee; a brother, Jules Avila of Acushnet; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and four step-great-grandchildren.

She was the sister of the late Gilbert Avila and Laura Rose.
