Leona M. Boivin, 85
Leona M. (Travers) Boivin, 85, of Dartmouth, died Wednesday, December 27, 2017 at home surrounded by her loving family.
She was the widow of Roger E. Boivin and daughter of the late John B. Travers, Sr. and Elsie M. (St. Onge) Travers.
Born in Fairhaven, she resided in New Bedford and in Dartmouth for many years and attended UMass Dartmouth.
She was employed as a quality control section manager at the Acushnet Company Rubber Division until her retirement.
She was a beloved grandmother to her seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She enjoyed sewing clothing for her great-grandchildren and also making crafts.
Mrs. Boivin was an avid fan of the New England Patriots and Boston Red Sox. She cherished the memory of her late canine companion, Tiffany.
Her family includes her three daughters, Cynthia A. Viera and her husband, John, Deborah A. Souza and her husband, Stephen and Gail A. Demers and her husband, Paul, all of Dartmouth; her two brothers, Arthur Travers of Dartmouth and his late wife, Millicent and John B. Travers, Jr. of Dartmouth and his late wife, Helen; her sister, Elsie M. Rogers of Dartmouth and her late husband, John; 7 grandchildren, Kim, Sean, Marc, Chad, Nathan, Craig and Christopher; 11 great-grandchildren, Kevin, Ava Rose, Isabella, Audrea, Chase, Ethan, Luke, Abigail, Lillian, Levi and Mackenzie; and several nieces and nephews.

Her funeral will be Wednesday morning at 9:30 with a service to be conducted in the funeral home at 10:30. Interment in Sacred Heart Cemetery #2.
