An overnight storm has resulted in closings for several Dartmouth schools and municipal services.

Dartmouth Public Schools are closed for January 30, as is Bishop Stang High School.

Friends Academy and the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth are both open for the day.

Due to the amount of snow that has fallen, the Dartmouth Transfer Station is closed January 30.

Trash and recycling pick-up is still operating on its normal schedule, however the Department of Public Works warns trucks may be behind schedule due to the road conditions.

The Dartmouth YMCA is open, but all group exercise classes are cancelled for the day. Registered childcare programs are still being held.

The storm moved through the area overnight. National Weather Service spotters reported 5 inches of snow in the New Bedford area as of 6:21 a.m.
