May 7, 2018

A worker had to be rescued from the roof of the Dartmouth Walmart on May 7.

According to Dartmouth Fire District No. 3 Chief Richard Arruda, fire crews responded to the 506 State Road supercenter at 1:56 p.m. for a report of an injured worker on the building’s roof.

Fire crews had to use a specially designed stokes basket to carry the worker off of the roof via the department’s ladder truck.

The worker sustained a hip injury, and was transported to St. Luke's Hospital for treatment by STAT Dartmouth.
