Listen to some tunes for a cause.

The Dartmouth High School Helping Hands Committee will host a June Jams fundraiser, 7-9 p.m. at Dartmouth High School. The event will include live music, baked goods and cold drinks for sale, and a 50/50 raffle. Proceeds will benefit Helping Hands, which raises money to support students in need with funding for school supplies and other educational expenses. Tickets are $5 in advance and $7 at the door. Discover nature.

From 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. the Lloyd Center for the Environment will be hosting a nature discovery program for children. It will include readings of nature themed books, live animal demonstrations, specimen observation, hiking, and nature themed crafts. The program is ideal for kids ages 2-6, but is open to all ages. The event is $5 for Lloyd Center members and $6 for non-members. Visit lloydcenter.org for more information.

Tour a farm.

Round the Bend Farm will host an Open Farm Day at its 92 Allen Neck Road location, 10 a.m.–5 p.m. Non-GMO and grass-fed meat, seasonal veggies, honey, maple syrup, and herbal teas will be for sale. Farm tours will also be available. Special children's programming will be offered between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., including nature loom making and playing with homemade play dough and natural items. Experience the water in a new way.

The Lloyd Center and Osprey Sea Kayak Adventures will host a stand-up paddle boarding class for beginners at the center from 10 a.m. - 12 noon. The class will cover the basics, including equipment, water entry and balance, proper stance and positioning, paddling techniques, safety, and etiquette. Learn about shrubs.

Allens Pond Wildlife Sanctuary experts will lead a native shrub identification hike along its sanctuary trails, 10 a.m. - 12 noon. Identification of both native and invasive species, and medicinal uses for some of these plants will be discussed. The cost to attend is $10 for Mass Audubon members and $12 for non-members.
