The Lloyd Center’s Visitor Center, also known as the Exploration Center, is temporarily closed for the first phase of renovations to the building, but the trails will remain open from dawn to dusk, seven days a week. The renovation will include a much-needed 1,600 square foot addition to improve exhibit, teaching, research, staff, and materials spaces. The driveway up to the main building will also be closed, along with part of the Chaypee Woods Trail. The students of the Greater New Bedford Regional Vocational Technical High School will also be returning to work on the Welcome Center.
