To celebrate adding Westport to its coverage area, the Dartmouth non-profit Coastal Neighbors Network on June 30 will host a walking tour of eight gardens around Westport Point.

Before the walk, guests will receive a map of the gardens on tour and historical notes on Westport Point itself. There will be a morning tour from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and an afternoon tour from 1 to 4 p.m.

“Since Westport is now part of Coastal Neighbors’ service area, we wanted to reinforce that by having the Garden Tour on the Point,” tour co-chair Chris Ash said. “We’re hoping the Tour will not only be a fun event, but it will also create more awareness about the many services and events that Coastal Neighbors members enjoy.”

Tickets will go on sale May 1 and can be purchased on Coastal Neighbors’ website, www.coastalneighborsnetwork.org at $30 for a single person, $50 for two people.

Proceeds from ticket sales for the Garden Tour will benefit Coastal Neighbors Network, its operations and programs.
