Learn to attract birds to your home

Feb 1, 2022

The Friends of the Dartmouth Libraries will be hosting a virtual talk on creating hospitable bird habitats on Thursday, Feb. 10 at 6:30 p.m.

Joan Butler, of Boston-based landscaping firm Enchanted Gardens, will discuss how to create welcoming habitats for birds through thoughtful landscape choices, including native plants vital for food and nesting sites.

Butler has been a gardener and birder for more than 30 years and believes gardens should invite you to linger in the world outside your door. Her gardens have been included on several garden tours and feature exciting plant combinations and dramatic horticultural specimens.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Geology from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst and a Certificate in Landscape Management from UMass Extension Green School.

This virtual presentation requires pre-registration at www.tinyurl.com/Birdscaping. Audience members must sign up with an email address to receive a zoom code.
