Explore Batik art with the Dartmouth Cultural Center
Get immersed in Batik arts at the Dartmouth Cultural Center with their AT-140 Line and Wash Watercolor Batik on Kinwashi Rice Paper event.
The class is $85 for those who are not members of the cultural center, and $75 for those who are. The class is on Saturday, Sept. 20 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. with a break for lunch.

Something for the whole family at Round the Bend Farm
Round the Bend Farm is having an open farm day on Saturday, Sept. 20 with baby ducklings, potato sales and a class on fermenting.
Snuggle with some baby ducklings from the Swaye Family Farm’s latest brood. The event is held at the Learning center from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. and is open to kids of all ages.
The farm had an abundant potato crop this year, and is offering a pound of chemical-free yellow potatoes for $0.50 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m.
Garden Manager Benoit Azagoh-Kouadio is holding a free fermentation workshop from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m., with a suggested donation when signing up online.

Welcome in the season with a Harvest Festival
Rush into the harvest season with Running Brook Vineyards annual Harvest Festival at 335 Old Fall River Road in North Dartmouth.
Over the Sept. 20 and 21 weekend from 12 p.m. to 5 p.m., the annual harvest festival is bringing back some fan favorites. There will be grape stomping, horserides and hayrides. There will be vendors, food trucks, live music and wine.
Truue will be playing live from 2 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Saturday, and Ethan Lazaro will be playing on Sunday the entire day.
Stargazing at UMass Dartmouth
Explore the universe with the Astronomical Society of Southern New England at UMass Dartmouth for a public astronomy viewing on Saturday, Sept. 20 from 6:30 p.m. until 9 p.m.
The event is weather dependent and will be cancelled for rain or an overcast night. Entry is free for adults and accompanied children.
Parking is available in Lot 17. The campus is located at 285 Old Westport Road. Turn into the campus on Old Westport Road, take the first right onto the Ring Road. Near the end of the first large field, the Dome will be visible on the right, and Parking Lot 17 on the left. Park only in the lot or along the road. Public parking on the field is prohibited.

Horsing around at Sleepy Hollow Farm
It’s straight from the horse's mouth — the annual Massachusetts Barock Pinto Inspection is coming up.
The event is hosted by Megan Hamilton Dressage and will be held at Sleepy Hollow Farm, located at 46 Albro Drive, on Sunday, Sept. 21 starting at 8 a.m.
Anyone with or without a horse is invited to come and enjoy the festivities, food trucks, local vendors and a day filled with horses.
American Revolution book talk at the Dartmouth Historical and Art Society
The Dartmouth Historical and Art Society will be hosting local author Robert Barzboza for a talk on South Coast sailors, soldiers and ship builders.
The event is happening on Sunday, Sept. 21 starting at 2 p.m. at the Russells Mills Schoolhouse at 1205 Russells Mill Road.
Barboza recently published “Patriots of the South Coast,” which he will be selling and autographing after the event.
Barboza published this book specifically in time for the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution.
Monday, Sept. 22
Have a ball at Family and Friends Bingo
Bingo nights are a ball at Farm and Coast’s Family and Friends Bingo nights. The returning event starts on Monday, Sept. 22 from 5:30 p.m. until around 7 p.m.
Call Farm and Coast at 774-992-7093 to reserve a table. The market is located at 7 Bridge Street in Padanaram. It is encouraged to arrive a couple minutes early to prepare and order food.
