If you’re looking to pause the holiday hustle and reconnect with the joy of the season, the New Bedford Symphony Orchestra invites you to its beloved Holiday Pops Family Concert on Sunday, December 14, with two magical performances at the Bronspiegel Auditorium, New Bedford High School.
Led by Music Director Yaniv Dinur, this annual favorite is more than a concert—it’s a celebration of wonder, togetherness, and timeless holiday music. Expect a sleighful of festive favorites, including selections from The Polar Express, The Nutcracker, and the sparkling Jingle All the Way Medley.
Each performance brings extra joy with special appearances by the Southeastern Massachusetts Youth Orchestras (SEMAYO) and the dazzling voices of the Showstoppers. Arrive early to hear SEMAYO musicians performing in the lobby before the concert begins.
· 3:30 PM Matinee: Perfect for families with young children, this one-hour concert includes a fun and interactive conducting lesson from 2:30 to 3:25 PM—a chance for kids to feel the magic of leading the music!
· 7:00 PM Evening Performance: Settle in for an extended musical experience, ideal for those wanting to soak up even more seasonal cheer. Both concerts are performed without intermission to keep the momentum merry and bright.
Light concessions (water, soda, snacks) will be available in the lobby. Please note: card payments only, and water is the only item permitted in the auditorium.
Tickets are $30–$60 for adults and just $10 for children and students (student tickets not available online).
