Receiving an approximate total of $931,838.04 in settlement money as a result of the state’s multi-billion-dollar resolution with some of the nation’s largest drug distributors, Dartmouth is still seeking the right course to effectively spend the money and combat the opioid crisis. 

But on Thursday, Aug. 29, the community will pause and gather for Overdose Awareness Day on the front lawn of Town Hall, located at 400 Slocum Road, at 5 p.m.

This is an opportunity to remember those lost to overdose without stigma, acknowledging the grief of friends, family and their loved ones they left behind.
