The 18th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Breakfast will take place on Friday, January 31, 2020 at 8:30 a.m. at the Woodland Commons, UMass Dartmouth Campus, 285 Old Westport Road, Dartmouth.

The breakfast will feature keynote speaker Steve Pemberton.

Pemberton is a best-selling author, acclaimed speaker and diversity leader. 

His book, “A Chance in the World,” tells his story of overcoming the hardships of his childhood to become a corporate executive, diversity and inclusion thought leader, and youth advocate.

Pemberton is the chief human resources officer at Workhuman and was previously the global chief diversity officer at Walgreens Boots Alliance.

The breakfast costs $30 for faculty, staff, and public guests. A limited number of tickets are available to students on a first-come, first-served basis.

Proceeds from the event will support student-centered diversity initiatives at UMass Dartmouth.

This event is sponsored by the UMass Dartmouth Office of Human Resources.

Parking is available in lots 4 and 5 with shuttle service to Woodland Commons.
