American Revolution book talk at the Dartmouth Historical and Art Society
Event Date:
The Dartmouth Historical and Art Society will be hosting local author Robert Barzboza for a talk on South Coast sailors, soldiers and ship builders.
The event is happening on Sunday, Sept. 21 starting at 2 p.m. at the Russells Mills Schoolhouse at 1205 Russells Mill Road.
Barboza recently published “Patriots of the South Coast,” which he will be selling and autographing after the event.
The book is a collection of newspaper articles printed throughout the years, revised and expanded with research. It is a sequel to his first book, “Patriots of Dartmouth: Local Heroes of the Revolutionary War.”
It features local Dartmouth heroes such as Captain Job Tripp, and others such as Continental Marine Captain Stephen Earl of Westport.
Barboza published this book specifically in time for the 250th anniversary of the American Revolution.
