Anne N. (Lameiras) Pereira, 84, of Dartmouth, died Wednesday, May 1 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro following a brief illness. She was the widow of Richard Pereira and daughter of the late Casimiro D. and Anna B. (Amaral) Lameiras.

Born in New Bedford, she resided in Dartmouth since 1963 and was a communicant of St. Julie Billiart Church. Mrs. Pereira was employed as a sales clerk at Cherry & Webb for many years and briefly at Silverstein's.

She volunteered her time at the Dartmouth Senior Center and was a member of the Portuguese-American Civic League. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed cooking and ballroom dancing.

Her family includes her son, Richard A. Pereira and his wife, Donna of Attleboro; her daughter, Carol Ann Pereira of Milton, NY; her brother, Joseph P. Lameiras and his wife, Roseann of Columbus, NJ; her sister, Nancy Freire of Fairhaven; an aunt, Lea Correia of Connecticut; 3 grandchildren, Desiree Arriaza, Cathy Roberge and the late Jessica Pimental; several great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, a godchild and cousins.
