Anthony "Tony" Medeiros, 55

May 19, 2022

Anthony "Tony" Medeiros, 55, of Dartmouth, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, May 11, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Heidi Alcobia (Souza) Medeiros with whom he celebrated 29 wonderful years of marriage.
Born in  Fall River, he was the son of Anthony and Barbara (Stanley) Medeiros of Westport. Tony resided in Dartmouth since 1989 and had previously resided in Westport.

Tony was a U.S. Army veteran and attained the rank of Specialist 4th. His many decorations include the Army Service Ribbon, Good Conduct Medal, Rifle M-16 (Marksman), Hand Grenade (Marksman) and Army Lapel Button.

Tony is a 1995 graduate of Northeastern University where he earned an Associate in Science and was employed as the Operations Manager with the title RT (R) (MR) (CT) at Prima Care Imaging in Fall River for 36 years where he was beloved by the entire staff, especially his girls +2.

Tony was multi-talented and a perfectionist in everything he did. He truly felt that if you applied yourself, you could accomplish anything you wanted. He gave 200 percent in everything he did. He played baseball in his youth, enjoyed riding his Harley, was an avid NASCAR fan, took cooking lessons, and played hockey for the KingCones where he was known as "X-ray", just to name a few.

Tony's greatest achievement and greatest legacy is his family. He was a devoted husband and father who loved his family beyond measure and was immensely proud of their accomplishments. Tony was present at all athletic events of his children, noting he was their biggest fan and their harshest critic.   At the end of their games, Tony always had words of encouragement, however if he was asked for his opinion on the way they played........he was nothing but honest.  One of the most difficult titles to carry with your children is parent/coach and Tony was exemplary in both categories.

His family includes his parents; his loving wife, Heidi Alcobia (Souza) Medeiros of Dartmouth; his two cherished children, Samantha Alcobia Medeiros of Dartmouth and her boyfriend, Justin Bennett and Damien Anthony Medeiros of Dartmouth; 3 sisters, Margaret Cambra and her partner, Rose Eastman of Marlborough, MA, Sherry Barry and her husband, Garrett of Groton, MA and Ali Isidoro and her husband, Moses of Somerset, MA; his mother-in-law, Elizabeth "Betty" Souza of Westport and father-in-law, the late Andrew Souza; his sisters-in-law, many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews and his Prima Care family.

He was the brother-in-law of the late Andrew J. Souza.

In keeping with Tony's thirst for knowledge, and in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Tony's family for his children's education.

You may also make donations through Tony’s GoFundMe page.
