Art Drive to kick off Aug. 5

Jul 24, 2022

The annual Art Drive Open Studio Tour will return to town Aug. 5 though 7.

The Art drive showcases professional works created by some of the area’s premier painters, ceramic artists, photographers, jewelers, fiber artists, woodworkers, and metal artists.

This event, free and open to the public, is intended to be an opportunity to visit working artists in their unusual and dramatic studio settings, spotted among the area’s villages, farm land and sea coast.

The tours feature 27 artists, with 16 in Dartmouth.

Dartmouth-based artists include: Carol Bliven, Jane Bregoli, Peggy Call-Conley, Beverly Carter, Sarah Daughn, Deb Ehrens, Wendy Goldsmith, Sandra Hall, Michael Hubert, Marty Keating, Janice Kissinger, Judith Klein, Andrew Peppard, Mège Posner, Susan Strauss, and Amy Thurber.

Signs will be placed at artists’ studios and at intersections near the stops. Studios will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Art enthusiast are encouraged to bring a mask, as most studios will require visitors to adhere to CDC guidelines
