Reds, pinks, purples and greens accompanied the stars in the night sky Thursday, Oct. 10, with the colorful lights of the north visible across Massachusetts, including right here in Dartmouth.
According to the Space Weather Prediction Center’s website, the aurora borealis was made visible due to a strong geomagnetic storm, which is a disturbance in Earth’s magnetic field due to solar activity.
