Author Pamela Lowell will be talking about her new book at 6:30 p.m. in the North Branch Library on Thursday, June 20. 

Lowell’s book, titled “My Summer with Ospreys: A Therapist's Journey Toward Hope, Community, and Healing our Planet,” recounts her transformative experience as a volunteer monitoring Osprey nests on the Westport River for the Massachusetts Audubon Society.

Written in a journal format and illustrated throughout with her watercolor paintings, the book details Lowell’s experience of monitoring Ospreys while also touching on the connections between art, therapy and the healing qualities of nature. 

The event is free and open to the public.
