Band Home Show rescheduled due to EEE concerns

Sep 17, 2019

The Dartmouth High School Marching Band’s annual Home Show is the latest outdoor event to be hit with Eastern equine encephalitis concerns.

The home show, which was originally scheduled for September 28 at 6 p.m., will now be held at 3 p.m. on the same day.

The rescheduling was a result of concerns with Eastern equine encephalitis. The deadly mosquito-borne disease has had an impact on a host of after-school activities, including Friday night football games.

At the home show, in addition to Dartmouth High School, bands from 10 other schools from Massachusetts and Rhode Island will perform. Tickets are $10 for adults, and $5 for students and seniors.

A concession stand, bake sale, and additional fundraisers will be running to support the Dartmouth School Music Association.

The show will be held at Memorial Stadium, 400 Slocum Rd.
