Baseball EDU to host all-day, baseball fun
Baseball EDU will host its first-ever Pitch, Hit & Run (PHR) event, at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth field on April 8, 12-3 p.m.
PHR is designed and funded through Major League Baseball. The free, one-day event — for boys and girls, ages 7-14 — is the official skills competition of the MLB.
Participants compete in either the Baseball Division or Softball Division and have the opportunity to advance through four levels of competition including Locals, Sectionals, Team Championships, and the National Finals during MLB All-Star Week. Visit pitchhitrun.com for more on the program.
On the same day, Baseball EDU will also collect lightly used equipment in collaboration with Pitch In For Baseball, a charity run through the MLB which donates equipment to less fortunate people in various countries.
The university will host a double header against Keene State the same day, at 12 and 3 p.m.
