Bishop Stang students travel to Poland for World Youth Day
Twenty students and five faculty and parent volunteers from Bishop Stang High School attended World Youth Day 2016 in Krakow, Poland. The students celebrated Mass with Cardinal Sean O’Malley and Pope Francis, visited local churches and relics, met other pilgrims from around the world, experienced the Polish culture, walked in the footsteps of Saint Pope John Paul II, and attended catechesis, praise and worship sessions, and adoration.
While on the pilgrimage, the students took turns carrying a school flag they had designed. Inside the STANG letters are the initials of every current Stang student, including the graduated Class of 2016, the incoming Class of 2020, and faculty/staff as well. They “carried” their intentions with them every day.
