The Dartmouth Dog Advisory Work Group, popularly known as DDAWG, will hold a can/plastic bottle collection on Saturday, June 12, from 1 to 2 p.m at the Dartmouth Dog Park at 443 Old Fall River Road.

Organizers have been trying for years to fund a larger, more permanent park that would be located across from the town’s current one.

Most of the money raised currently goes toward maintenance and other expenses at the current park.

Donated cans must be redeemable, cleaned/rinsed, and bagged or boxed.

Rain date is Sunday, June 13. There will also be a drive scheduled for July 17 from 1 to 2 p.m.
