The Bridge hosting free grief support groups

The Bridge: A Center for Hope and Healing, a Dartmouth grief support group located at 351 Elm Street in Dartmouth, will be offering a series of new grief support groups. These groups are free of charge and are open to anyone in the local community.

Healing Broken Hearts is a support group for those who have lost a loved one to addiction or overdose. It will be meeting on Tuesdays beginning November 1 from 5 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. for 6 weeks.

A support group for those coping with the loss of a spouse or a partner will be held Mondays beginning October 17 from 1 p.m. -2:30 p.m. for 6 weeks.

A program for those coping with the loss of an adult child will start on October 11 and will be held on Tuesdays from 1 p.m. -2:30 p.m. for 6 weeks.

A general support group for those coping with grief will begin on October 21 and will run on Fridays from 11 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.

Those who are visually impaired can attend a support group every Tuesday from 11 a.m. – 12 p.m.

The Bridge’s grief education series and support groups offer a safe and supportive place for those in need to receive support and education on the grief process and to share the experience of loss with others.
