Bristol County Savings Bank reports record-breaking grant awards
Smashing records and providing for communities — the Bristol County Savings Bank announced that the Bristol County Savings Charitable Foundation awarded a record $2,868,417 in grants in 2024.
The Bank distributed the funds to 265 different non-profits within the communities it serves which includes Dartmouth along with Taunton, Attleboro, Raynham, Rehoboth, Franklin, New Bedford and Fall River. The bank also crosses state borders into Rhode Island and provides for Providence, Pawtucket, Cumberland and Greenville.
However, the bank is no stranger to generosity. 2024 was the fifth consecutive year that the Bank awarded grants totaling more than $2 million.
President and CEO of the bank and President of the Bristol County Savings Charitable Foundation John Silva said it’s the bank's job to support the communities and neighborhoods they serve.
“One way we realize this is by helping to fund, through our Foundation, the initiatives of area non-profit organizations,” he said. “So, while we are very proud to exceed our past annual grant totals, it is especially fulfilling to help strengthen our community today and into the future.”
Silva added that the Bank’s employees also volunteered more than 8,300 hours on behalf of 267 non-profits in 2024.
