Buzzards Bay Watershed Ride sign ups
Sign-ups are now open for the 11th annual Buzzards Bay Watershed Ride on October 1.
The event features three routes — 100 miles, 75 miles, or 35 miles — across Buzzards Bay. The 100-mile ride, called the “century ride,” circles the entirety of Buzzards Bay, from Sakonnet Point, Rhode Island to Woods Hole Village, the end point of all three routes.
The ride is open to cyclsts age 12 and over. It features snack and water stations, clearly marked routes, a food truck lunch at Eastover Farm in Rochester, volunteers, and on-the-road bike repair technicians.
Prizes are awarded to riders and teams that raise the most money and to winners in categories including Best Team Outfit and Biggest Team.
All funds raised goes to the Buzzards Bay Coalition’s work to protect land and clean water around the bay. Last year, $120,000 was raised.
