Celebrate Christmas in Russels Mills Village
Celebrate Christmas in historic Russells Mills Village on December 8.
The Dartmouth Historical and Arts Society will host its annual holiday celebration at 2 p.m. at the 1205 Russells Mills Road schoolhouse.
The event will begin with holiday music from the Fall River Fipple Fluters. Children’s activities will also be offered. Jim Bean and Betsy Powel will lead sing-alongs and Christmas carols from 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Smith Neck Friends Meeting is getting into the holiday spirit for the event, too. The Meeting will host a “Living Nativity Scene” at the neighboring Alderbrook Farm from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
The Meeting's First Day School will re-enact the Nativity scene, joined by farm animals including sheep, cows, chickens and a donkey to build authenticity.
The events are free to attend.
