Mass Audubon will host its first ever “Summer Celebration” at Allens Pond on Aug. 14.

Attendees can take a guided walk around the coastal property and learn about the local ecosystems and how they interact with the native fauna.

There will also be scheduled family-oriented activities such as a “Make-and-Take Nature Confetti” crafts and wildlife bio facts — learning about shorebirds, ospreys, turtles, and more.

Attendees can also bid on silent-auction packages donated by local retailers and “adopt” a duck to enter the upcoming Duck Derby.

Boxed lunches will also be available for purchase.

The inaugural event is free will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
