Cletus O. Lawson, 87

Cletus O. Lawson, 87, of Dartmouth, passed away on Friday, March 6, 2020 at Hathaway Manor Extended Care. He was the beloved husband of Leonora J. (Anthony) Lawson.

Born in Williamsport, PA to the late John E. Lawson Sr. and Gladys (Shoup) Lawson. Cletus had been a U.S. Navy veteran and had served in the Korean War. He had been employed by the M.C.I. Cedar Junction as a correctional officer and in his later years, he was a bus driver for Tremblay’s Bus Co.

Cletus had been a member of the Retired State County and Municipal Employees Association, the American legion Post 307, Naval Enlisted Reserve Association, the Fleet Reserve Association. He had been a past King Lion of the Dartmouth Lions and a current member of the Acushnet Lions.

He is survived by his wife, Leonora; his 2 sons, John E. Lawson and his wife Sandra and Wayne Lawson and his wife Nancy; 2 daughters, Karen Mott and her late husband Robert and Kathleen Eluziario and her husband David; 9 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren; sisters, Harriet Scoppa and Ethel Rockwell, both of Williamsport, PA; brothers, William Lawson, S. Keith Lawson and Richard Lawson. He was also the brother of the late Lucille Shannon, John E. Lawson, Jr. and Bernard Lawson.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Lions Club.
