Closures, cancellations and parking ban in Dartmouth
A winter storm warning is in effect from Feb. 8 at 4 a.m. until Feb. 9 at 7 a.m.
The National Weather Service is predicting 6 to 12 inches of snow during the period with wind gusts up to 20 mph.
A parking ban is currently in effect until Tuesday, Feb. 9 at 6 a.m.
There is no parking on the fire hydrant side of the street. If the street does not have hydrants, park on the side of the street that has even numbered houses. All vehicles in violation are subject to being towed.
Dartmouth Public Schools are closed today.
The Town Hall, senior center and libraries are closed today. The Select Board meeting scheduled for Monday night has been canceled.
UMass Dartmouth will be closed on Monday, Feb. 8. A parking ban is in effect on Ring Road. As a result of the closure, the 14th Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Breakfast at the university has been postponed. The breakfast will be rescheduled for a future date.
Reverand Ann Fox’s presentation on Unitarian Universalists, which was schedule for Monday at noon at UMass Dartmouth, has been postponed.
