Coastal Neighbors Network names new executive director

May 30, 2017

A new non-profit aimed at helping residents stay in their homes as they age has a new director.

The Coastal Neighbors Network (CNN) Board of Directors picked Andrew Pollock to serve as the organization’s first executive director. The Dartmouth resident holds an MBA from Pennsylvania State University, and has a background in medical billing, farming, and personal care as a certified nursing assistant. He also served as a leader of the Marriage Equality Coalition.

“Our search for someone with the right skill set attracted more than 30 applicants, including some from across the country,” said CNN Board Chair Kate Fentress. “Little did we know when we started that the best person for the job had been sitting on our Board!”

Coastal Neighbors Network’s goal is to enable members age 50 and over to remain at home and stay connected with their community through a range of services provided by volunteers and approved vendors. The organization is aiming for a July launch, and is hosting an informational meeting on June 13 at 6:30 p.m. at the Southworth Library for those interested in learning more.

Pollock begins on June 15. He can be contacted at andy@coastalneighborsnetwork.org. For more information about Coastal Neighbors Network, visit coastalneighborsnetwork.org.
