Comedy show to benefit Dartmouth resident D.J. Bishop
Tickets are on sale now for the 10th annual Laughter and Wishes Comedy Night, which will benefit Dartmouth resident D.J. Bishop.
The comedy night, which will be held on November 4 at 6 p.m. at White’s of Westport, raises money for children and young people battling life-threatening illness and dealing with life-changing injuries. This year, funds raised will help support Bishop’s recovery.
Bishop was left paralyzed after a diving accident on May 29. After undergoing surgery, he spent the past few months at Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital. Now, as his stay at the hospital is coming to an end, he will still require outpatient therapy when he returns home. Proceeds from the comedy show will help cover those costs.
The comedy show will feature several stand-up comics, a raffle, door prizes and a live band. Tickets are $35 per seat or $350 for a table of 10. To buy tickets, contact Steve Manchester at 617-862-8311 or email steven.h.manchester@sunlife.com. For more information, visit the event page on Facebook.
