Dartmouth field hockey celebrates its 6 seniors
The Dartmouth High School Field Hockey team celebrated their senior night with a win five to two against Barnstable High School.
“I was a little not sure how it was going to go, but I was very pleased with the outcome,” said head coach Beth Arguin.
The game started with the six seniors walking out and getting flowers. Five of the seniors were a part of the Dartmouth Girls Athletic League field hockey teams growing up according to DGAL field hockey commissioner Courtney Cohen.
“It’s definitely different from [the] past year since we did lose … a lot of seniors,” said senior and captain Lilly Robert, “But I feel like now we have the chemistry back.”
The game was close until part way through the second quarter, when Dartmouth brought the score three to one. Dartmouth got their score up to five during the third quarter, securing their win.
Last time Dartmouth faced off against Barnstable at the end of September, they tied three to three.
“I’m kind of glad the girls took the initiative to score first and keep playing hard,” said Arguin.
