Dartmouth High hockey ends postseason in semi-finals
The Dartmouth High boys hockey team was knocked out of the Div. 3 South postseason by a 6-3 loss against the Old Rochester/Fairhaven Bulldogs on March 8.
The Bulldogs closed the first period of the semifinal game with a 2-1 lead. In the second period, Dartmouth responded with a goal to tie the game, 2-2, but continued to play catch-up as the Bulldogs picked up three more goals. Old Rochester led the game 5-3 heading into the third period, and then closed the game with a 6-3 win after scoring again.
Dartmouth had worked its way into the semifinals after starting the postseason with a 5-2 win against Bourne. The Indians then took a 5-1 win against undefeated, top-seeded Southeastern/West Bridgewater, and charged into the quarterfinals with a 4-1 win against Hull/Middleboro.
Old Rochester went on to win the Div. 3 South title, and faces Lowell in the state semi-finals on March 15.
