Dartmouth high school teams to compete in playoffs
Three of five Dartmouth High School sports teams will be competing in the playoffs this fall as the regular season comes to a close.
The boys soccer team ranked eighth out of 61 other division two teams. They won nine games, lost five and tied two. They will be facing off against Marshfield High School on Tuesday, Nov. 4 at Dartmouth.
The field hockey team ranked 12th out of 54 other division two teams. They won 14 games, lost two and tied two. They advanced in the bracket after beating Marshfield High School 2-0 on Friday, Oct. 31. They will be facing off against either King Phillip Regional High School or Leominster High School, depending on which team wins the Monday, Nov. 3 game.
The football team ranked 12th out of 37 other division four teams. They won six games and lost two. They will be facing off against Burlington High School on Friday, Nov. 7 in the initial round of playoffs at Burlington.
Neither the volleyball nor the girls soccer team will be going to the playoffs. The volleyball team won 13 games and lost seven. The girls soccer team won seven games and lost nine.
