On Oct. 8, Lions Clubs around the world will hold sight-related projects in celebration of Lions World Sight Day.
The special day, which has gone on since 1988, is held to raise awareness about the importance of eye health and the need for quality eye care services.
Club events can include vision screenings, eyeglass donations, restorative surgeries, eye health education programs and donations of assistive devices to those with vision impairment.
The Dartmouth Lions Club is seeking donations in celebration of Lions World Sight Day. Donations will support the Lions Eye Research Fund.
Club members ask that donations be sent via check to Dartmouth Lions Club, 77B State Road, Dartmouth, MA 02747.
